Dr. Pervez Ahmed Khan is a highly esteemed neurosurgeon with an extensive reputation for his expertise in endovascular treatments and minimally invasive surgeries. With a focus on complex conditions, Dr. Khan performs advanced procedures for brain aneurysms, brain and spinal AVMs, head and neck tumor embolization, acute stroke, and arterial stenosis. Dr. Khan earned his medical degree and Master’s degree in Surgery from Government Medical College Srinagar. Following his Registrarship, he served as a Senior Resident Neurosurgeon at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura Srinagar for six years. He completed his ECFMG certification and pursued a two-year fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at Children’s Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University, Chicago (USA). He then undertook a one-year fellowship in Onconeuro Surgery at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville (USA), followed by an additional two years of specialized training in Interventional/Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery at the same institution.
Currently, Dr. Khan serves as a Senior Consultant in Neurosurgery and Neurointerventional Surgery, focusing on interventional neurosurgery. His expertise includes treating brain and spinal tumors, degenerative spine diseases, and trauma, with a strong emphasis on minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques for brain and spine surgery.
